Description

In his book “Family Furrows” (1986) Herbert Worsley says concerning Byrom's Farm: “Although it has been modernised it occupies the same site as the old farmhouse which was in existence for 300 years. For 200 of those years, only three families have lived there: the Bridges, the Bents, and now Mr. and Mrs. Ashcroft. John Boydell, James Hill, and Joseph Mort were all servant boys there in 1861”.
