Description
Reservoir House, built of stone with attractive timberwork dates from approx 1880/90.
The building was erected as a worker's cottage for the Liverpool Water Board, hence the carving of the Liver Bird on the building.
The adjoining reservoir still supplies water to Liverpool. There may also be a Catholic connection (see cross).
