Date-stones set into the base of the original building indicate construction in 1893 with an extension added to the east side of the original building in 1913. James Bridge says in his “History of Golborne” that the chapel was opened for worship in 1894 but had been “taken over for other purposes” by the time of writing in 1955. It was recently converted into a number of self-contained apartments.
