Constructed in the mid 19th Century.
The Sewage Farm and buildings are mentioned frequently in the minutes of the former Ashton UDC and its predecessor bodies. An infectious diseases hospital, complementing that formerly on Bryn Rd but of which there is no longer any trace, was once located directly south of the farm buildings.
