Description
The Powell Library and Museum was located at the east end of Station Road and was demolished to allow the construction of Riverway and the redevelopment of that area of the Town Centre. It opened in 1895 and was funded by Sir Francis Sharp Powell the then Member of Parliament for Wigan.
